Cats are wonderfully unique among animals.

It's hard to tell sometimes whether they're playing with you - or you're playing with them. It's that special bond between you and your cat that makes living with a cat so enjoyable.

And while cats are certainly fun and beautiful companions,  we must make sure they are getting the proper medical and nutritional care they need to keep them happy and healthy for the years ahead. Over the past 10 years at Care Animal Hospital, we've helped thousands of cats and kittens by protecting them against disease and sickness through annual exams and routine checkups.

Enroll in a Wellness Plan and Save!

Our wellness plans for cats are a simple and cost-effective way for pet owners to make sure our feline friends stay healthy throughout the year.

Why should I get a pet wellness plan?

  • Wellness plan members NEVER pay full price for exams - only a $10 co-pay.
  • Annual Dental Cleanings - includes x-rays, scaling, brushing and polishing of your dog's teeth.
  • Staying up to date on your pet's vaccinations and annual exams is one of the most important things you can do to keep your cat healthy.
  • Our Wellness Plans are Completely Customizable - Do you want to  include flea protection or a spay surgery in the wellness plan? No problem. Discuss your situation with our friendly doctors or veterinary assistants and we'll custom-create a plan that works for you.

And did we mention that you can break up your wellness plan payments over 12 months? Similar to the way many people pay for their annual passes at nearby theme parks, we break up the one-time payment into 12 smaller monthly installments for patients that qualify. Now you never have to worry about making sure your pet receives the medical attention it needs.

Unfortunately, we can't count on our cats to brush their own teeth after eating, and If you've tried brushing your cat's teeth, you know that it can be a bit difficult.

We use the latest advances in dental technology at our veterinary clinic to treat dental problems of any size - from simple scaling and polishing, to problems with baby teeth, to dental extractions. You won't have to wait for x-rays from the lab to have work done as we are one of the few veterinary clinics in Florida to use digital x-rays, just like your family dentist.

Contact us at 813-684-7387 to schedule a complimentary dental exam or click here to learn more about our dental health services.

Fleas love the tropical climate of Florida. Which is bad news for our pets during their active seasons. And because cats like to clean themselves with their own tongue, the chances that  they'll digest something they shouldn't are pretty good.

Fortunately, advances in parasite control medication can help prevent fleas and other parasites from attacking your pet. The cost of treatment is low, application is easy and will help ensure your pet's wellness for several months at a time.

We can even have the flea prevention medication shipped directly to your home when you use our online forms. How's that for convenience!

When the time arrives to say our final goodbyes to our beloved companions, we know how difficult  it can be, both physically  - and emotionally. We want to provide you a choice when you have to make these painful decisions by offering end of life services in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

We also offer both private and communal cremation services for your pet. Please call us at 813-684-7387 to discuss your situation with our caring staff.
Sterilization is a non-lethal method of reducing cat overpopulation and the most humane way to prevent the birth of unwanted, homeless cats. There are also health benefits in many cases.

Spay/Neuter Benefits include:

  • Extend the life and well-being of cats by preventing cancer and tumors
  • Reduces the homeless cat overpopulation
  • Eliminates smells from spraying urine
  • Reduces the number of cats euthanized at shelters each year
  • Prevents howling cats
  • Reduces wandering instincts to mate
  • Helps reduce the multiplying colonies of 'doorstep' cats, who often pass diseases to other outdoor cats.
We recommend sterilization around 4-6 months of age for most cats. Contact us today at 813-684-7387 to schedule an appointment or for more information on our spay and neuter surgeries for cats.
We perform many types of routine and advanced surgical procedures, both outpatient and surgeries requiring a short hospitalization. Each surgery is closely monitored by one or more experienced technicians to make sure that proper vital signs and temperature are maintained throughout the procedure.

We are the largest veterinary facility in Hillsborough County and  are able to offer comprehensive medical diagnostic testing and treatment options that other veterinary clinics aren't able to provide , including soft tissue and tumor removal surgeries.

If your cat requires advanced surgical care, contact us today to discuss your situation. 813-684-7387.
Vaccinations for your kitten are done in 3 segments, with the first starting at 6-8 weeks of age and continuing every 4 weeks thereafter until 16 weeks (4 months) of age.

After the first year, cats typically only require vaccinations once a year. For older cats (10 years or older), we recommend they be brought in every six months so that we can identify and control any diseases or health issues before they become more serious.
